fraction of the public thinks that NASA may have faked the Apollo Moon
landings. This belief is driven by a small group of outspoken (and grossly
wrong) conspiracy theorists who claim they have copious evidence that NASA
has bamboozled the world for more than three decades. Astronomer Phil Plait,
webmaster of the Bad Astronomy website (www.badastronomy.com), has a long
history of debunking these "theories". In this light-hearted, humorous, and
scientifically-based talk, he will thoroughly tear apart these erroneous
ideas, and give you an idea of how to deal with any conspiracy theorist you
might know who "knows" we faked the landings, because they heard it on
late-night radio.
