"THE HISTORICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM"
Using Roman coins to study the significance of astrology
during ancient times, I came across one coin that led
me to investigate
the story behind the biblical account about the Star
of Bethlehem. That
coin showed how astrologers monitored Aries the Ram to
predict the birth
of the King of the Jews. I will show how this emotionally
charged
subject has produced theories that have no basis in ancient
beliefs and
practices. And I will explain how the evidence points
to April 17, 6 BC
as a great astrological messianic portent which is the
likely basis for
the biblical account.
