"ISAAC'S STORM: THE GALVESTON HURRICANE OF 1900"
Erik Larson, author of the book with this same title,
will talk about the challenges of reconstructing the mother of all hurricanes,
the storm that struck Galveston, Texas, in 1900, killing at least 6,000
people. In the process, he will describe the strange effects generated
by this storm and generally do his best to scare the h*** out of anyone
who, for a profession, worries about weather.
