"The HST Advanced Camera for Surveys: Performance and New Results"
The ACS is being used by the Instrument Definition Team
to address outstanding problems in astronomy ranging from the formation
and presence of planets around nearby stars to when the first galaxies
formed. During the talk I will give an overview of ACS performance
and present some of our early science results, including measurements
of the acceleration of the Universe derived from supernovae in the HDFN
and a strongly lensing cluster, and constraints on the ages of elliptical
galaxies in clusters that are half the age of the Universe.
