"Why Ancient Glacier Mummies Are so Important: the Intestinal Contents are Encoded Maps and Diaries"

The ancient glacier mummies, Oetzi, the Tyrolean Iceman who lived 5,200 years ago in
the Alps, and Long Ago Person Found, who lived about 200 years ago in what is
now the coast of of southeast Alaska, are unique in the history of
archaeological science. This is because the detailed and varied
investigations of the contents of their alimentary tracts have revealed many
fascinating details of the last few days of their lives. From stomach to rectum,
the intestinal contents are encoded maps and diaries. The trick is to crack the
codes.
