"CIRCULATION PATTERN IN THE GLACIAL OCEAN"
Many believe that the abrupt changes of climate which
occurred during glacial time were triggered by reorganizations of the Atlantic
Ocean's conveyor circulation. Hence, it is of interest to reconstruct
the nature of this reorganization. In this talk, I will add a new
dimension to paleoceanographic reconstructions, namely how the carbonate
ion concentration differed and discuss what this new proxy might be telling
us.
