"Policy Responses to the Threat of Global Climate Change"

Global warming is one of the most serious challenges facing the world today. To protect the health and economic well-being of current and future generations, people must reduce emissions of heat-trapping gases by using the technology, know-how, and practical solutions already at our disposal. Alden Meyer is Director of Strategy and Policy for the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and the Director of its Washington, D.C. office. He is also UCS's principal advocate on national and international policy responses to the threat of global climate change. At this colloquium, Alden will offer insights into the leadership challenges associated with achieving a global climate strategy.
